i must admit that i'm really, REALLY proud of myself this year. the things i've set out to do from random ounces of courage exceeded my expectations of myself. from UIL to cabaret, i've accomplished so much more than i believed of my capabilities. and today really tops it. i finally made it into Schola Cantorum. Mr. Talley was very correct to not give me a spot freshman year: he knew that my voice was underdeveloped and needed more. from there, i took every moment of class time to focus on improving myself. even if joked around at times, i would always immediately adjust myself when it was our section's turn to sing. i've improved so tremendously and extremely, and all on my own. i don't know how to hug to myself, how to express to myself the gratitude and appreciation for my hard work, except to cry. i feel skitzophrenic saying this, but- great job Li! you deserve it!
